Door Entry Camera
Did you know it is possible in most Renaisance buildings blocks to view the video feed from the door intercom allowing occupants to view visitors prior to inviting them into the building.
Here is a short description how to view the video feed from within your apartment. Firstly make sure your TV is connected to the standard coaxial socket. Switch TV on and re-tune in analogue mode. (You may need to refer to your own TV manual). Find frequency channel 66 - at this point you may not be able to view the door video feed. Ask an assistant to buzz your apartment door. (Sorry its a two person job!) You may now finely tune your analogue channel 66 in a similar manner to tuning an old radio (again refer to your own TV manual). Due to the Data Protection Act the camera is now activated using a timer. If you fail to tune the TV channel within the allocated time you will have to reactivate the camera feed once again by buzzing your apartment door number. On some TVs it is possible to auto tune but due to the length of time to scan a broad range of frequency channels and the strength of the door intercom signal feed you may experience an unsuccessful auto scan - hence why it is more benifical to manually scan. Once you have discovered and saved the channel it is possible to view the video feed when ever you have a visitor using the door entry system - just remember you need to view the door camera feed in the old fashion analogue mode. |
