E.ON Heat
According to E.ON (29th May 2020).... "If you have an emergency our helpline is on hand 24/7, 365 days a year. Call 0345 302 4312"
It is paramount that customers who preheat their hot water via a cylinder take note of the following:-
1. Consider deactivating the hot water control panel if the District Heating supply is not available. By ignoring this advice may mean heat from the cylinder could be transferred back to the heat unit allegedly causing a costly temperature loss inside the cylinder. Such event could impact your Heat charges & carbon footprint.
2. Customers wishing to pre-heat hot water should avoid setting their hot water cycle on a permanent 24/7 ‘always on’ setting. Due to the configuration provided allegedly there is a possibility of encountering costly ‘inefficiencies’ & an increase of temperature discomfort in your home.
3. Avoid activating the hot water cycle during a period of time you are likely to use hot water (ie basin taps, shower, etc). Even a quick hand wash! Allegedly this could trigger a costly ‘inefficiency’ heat cycle leading to higher heat charges.
4. Consider preheating your hot water when the ambient temperature within the property is high as oppose to early in the morning when the apartment ambient temperature is low.
If in doubt always contact E.ON in writing.
