Renaissance Development

Renaissance SE13 is located in the heart of Lewisham and a short walk from Lewisham station.

Barratts Developments one of Britains biggest residential builders started construction in April 2010 and completed in December 2015.

The development provides approximately 800 new homes featuring a mix of studios, one and two-bedroom apartments and penthouses across ten building blocks. Standing proud at 88metres Sienna Alto Tower is the jewel in the crown within the development . All apartments feature a private balcony or terrace, with some homes offering panoramic views of London’s stunning skyline.

Surroundings include landscaped public gardens, River Ravensbourne, Glass Mill leisure centre and swimming pool, Lewisham Shopping Centre and Sainsburys Local store.

The development was managed by Barratt Residential Asset Management until 2019 when First Point was appointed as the new management company.

There is a 24 hour concierge for many of the building blocks located in Elmira Street.

Days before Renaissance

Prior to the Lewisham regeneration project Cornmill Gardens was known as the Sundermead Estate built in the 1960s.

The 1993 photograph by David Harvey shows the original council houses prior to their demolishment in 2008.

During the time of this photograph the National Westminster Tower (now known as 'Building 42') can be seen in the background was the tallest building in the City until 2009 - no Shard, Heron Tower, London Eye, Walkie Talkie or Cheese-grater to be seen!
